#12-24 x 2-1/2" Flat Head Phillips Reamer Tek Screw with Wings, W.A.R. Coated (100 Pack) Used for attaching lumber or headers to metal. For use in outdoors in high corrosive applications such in ACQ and pressure treated lumber. W.A.R. Coating provides exceptional corrosion resistance and exceeds a 1000 hr salt spray test. This coating system consists of three layers: a metallic zinc layer, a hex-chromium or trivalent chromate passivation, and a high-grade anti-corrosion chemical conversion film.
- REAMER - Self Tapping Wood to Metal Tek Screw - ATTACHES WOOD to METAL (1/2" - 1-1/2" Wood Thickness to .110" - .250" Metal Thickness)
- WINGS - allow screw to ream through wood before the screw reaches metal, preventing jacking action and providing smooth installation all the way through. Wings break off as they come into contact with metal.
- DEEP CHIP CAVITY - allows screws to cut threads more effectively into metal.
- TEK 4 DRILL POINT - gives screw a drill capacity of .110" - .250" through metal. Recommended Drill Speed is 1500 RPM.
- W.A.R. COATED - for use in pressure treated lumber and other highly corrosive environments. These screws exceed 1000/hrs of salt spray resistance.
