Early 15th-century shell-shaped pauldrons Designed to fit other pieces of “Hound Of War” armor kit, these ribbed pauldrons are a perfect touch for mercenary or infantry harness of 15th century. Made of 16 ga stainless steel, they are ready for the battlefield. Consist of a large shoulder plate and two smaller lames that protect the upper arm, allowing a flexible range of movement. Their back part is assembled with sliding rivets, while the front part - with the thick genuine leather straps. Fully articulated to move with the arm. Features a unique raised steel design with stiffening ribs, resembling seashells. Making them is a very time-consuming and tedious job. Stiffeners reinforce the metal preventing deformation when catching blows and greatly improve the efficiency of the shoulder protection. Excellent defense from glancing strikes. Scalloped edges provide a touch of classic style. Axilla is protected with detachable oblong bell-shaped besegew. These stainless shells are not afraid of rusting upon contact with water. Wear them with a padded arming wear for increased comfort. Comes as a pair, complete with shoulder lacing and leather borders for fastening to the gambeson.
